This photo was taken during the highway closure due to a landslide close to Banff, Alberta on July, 20, 2012. This was an experience I won't soon forget! An intense July storm caused a mountain side to spill onto HWY 1. It came down with such force the large concrete barriers were knocked out & 4ft of sludge covered roads.
